1988 Peavey Tracer "sticker" guitar with bolt on maple neck
(case included)
serial # 03358223
I bought the guitar used from an online guitar store almost 11 years ago. The
front was unfinished and I had originally intended to paint it. I started
putting stickers on it and it looked cool so I left it like that.
The action is nice, but the original pickup seemed weak so I bought a used
"Hot Stuff" pickup by Schaller. It sounds way better with this pickup. I
still have the original and will include it.
Whoever owned it before had installed a Kahler tremolo, much better than the
non-locking stock one. I replaced the bar recently with a brand new one. The
Kahler itself is probably worth the price of the guitar.
This guitar has Grover tuners. Not sure if these were stock or not
(probably not).
The rear tremolo cover was missing when I got it so I found one that was a
close match.
Also included is a hardshell Peavey case. It's not the original case, and I
had to modify it slightly in order to accomodate this particular guitar, and
now it fits perfectly. The nice thing about the hard plastic case is that it
locks tight so you will never have to worry about it opening by accident or
getting bashed.
The reason I'm selling is that I'm saving up for a new guitar.
