Ludwig Blue/Olive sticker cymbal stands

VINTAGE Ludwig Hercules boom cymbal stand

Pretty hefty boom stand. I've recently "lightened up" my live stand set up, and though this thing is built like a tank I'm not going to be using it much anymore. Need a period correct Ludwig boom stand? Take a look, this one has the familiar blue and olive sticker.

Only issue is that I cracked off half of the plastic on one of the black tightening knobs (see boom in picture). Still works no problem, and could simply be swapped around with any of the others, depending on which ones you use the most or least. Or do a search on eBay for something like "Ludwig P-2842 Black Knob Hercules" and you can buy a replacement. Kind of pricey but as of this writing one guy still has 9 available.

Chrome is in decent shape for its age. Could use a good cleaning, polish off some of the marker marks, that's about it.

VINTAGE Ludwig Hercules straight cymbal stand

Believe it or not, I'm the original owner (gasp!). I might have bought at Long Island Drum Center in Commack at the time (late 70's/early 80's?) but honestly don't really remember. This stand has been with me seemingly forever. Obviously it's seen its share of use, but considering all that it's been through it looks pretty damn good. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this stand. I've recently "lightened up" my live stand set up, and am not going to be using it much anymore. Need a period correct Ludwig boom stand? This one has the familiar blue and olive sticker. Note that the sticker had started to tear off so about a year or so ago I applied a piece of clear packing tape over it.

The only problem I had with it is the screw that the cymbal wing nut attaches to broke. So I fixed it awhile back by putting in a slightly larger one (from the hardware store), and fitted it with some new pads and a round plastic wing nut. Of course that part of it is no longer original, but it is totally functional. You could always get a chrome wing nut if you wanted it to look more "stock".
